The ControlDraw Copy Files names tool is a simple program that you can use to copy the names of the files in a folder into the clipboard.
It was developed to help in developing ControlDraw models, but has many other
uses
Why would you want this program? Here are four reasons why you might.
1 You are running a project where you need to track the files you use - for example the FDA cGMP regulations or ISO9000 quality management systems can make you have do this. It is good practise anyway
2 You want to search folders for files that should not be in a specific folder.
3 You have been sent a collection of document files, each describing something and you want to build a spreadsheet, a database or a ControlDraw model of the things and record file names of this source data.
4 You are running an elderly version of WindowsNT that does not let you copy folder names with Windows Explorer.
Installation
Download the Zip file
Copy Files names is written in Visual Basic 6. It you have installed any VB6 based software
such as ControDraw then it can be installed simply by copying file from the zip
file to a folder, for example your ControlDraw folder.
If you have have not installed any VB6 programs (and you are not using XP) then you may need to
download the VB6 run time
