ControlDraw Print and Review

With the free ControlDraw Reviewer you can View and print the entire diagram and data content of ControlDraw 2 or ControlDraw 3 models, and export PDF files. You can also run the diagrams in simulation mode.
It also provides facilities for ControlDraw project clients to quickly navigate a model and to add comments on the diagrams. With the reviewer you can also compare two models on screen create detailed compare reports
You can also use the reviewer to generate Test Sheets for your project.
The Reviewer and Commenter program is in a single 45MB download CDRSetup.zip.
Version 3.5.501, 17-Oct-2009 Now Vista compatible.
Note - this program is also installed with ControlDraw3

Extract to a temporary path and run setup. Then run the update below.

If you have a recent version of the Reviewer then you can update it by downloading CDReview.zip (Version 3.5.503, 24-Nov-2009) and extracting the files to your ControlDraw3 folder.

Download a recent set of sample models

The Reviewer Setup does not include any sample models, A good one, the latest milkshake plant, is available here. (Updated 2-Dec-2007) , and the Dynamics model (Updated 2-Dec-2007) illustrates the Simulation mode of ControlDraw. Open the model in the reviewer, Select >Menu >Run and play with the diagrams.

If you already have ControlDraw or the Reviewer download the Equipment Module and Unit Centric model - this contains two production units, one with physical and procedural control based on typical implementations by major process automation suppliers, the other with a much simpler structure that is equally capable but with much simpler 'chemists recipes'. Note - if you have ControlDraw2 but want the Print button to run the new Reviewer, first install the new Reviewer, then copy
C:\Program Files\ControlDraw Ltd\ControlDraw3\CDReview3.exe
into
C:\Program Files\ControlDraw\ and rename it CDReview.exe (delete the original first)
Also copy cdcommentmaster3.mdb and CDReview.chm to
C:\Program Files\ControlDraw\ folder, but do not rename them.

If you came here looking for the free ControlDraw1 program it is highly recommended that you use CD3Free instead.

ControlDraw1 has been free since 1999 and is still available, and will remain so, primarily to support legacy users who have plants designed with CD1. If you are one of those users please contact us. If not please use the free version of ControlDraw3

The ControlDraw 1 Setup files are in a 6 Zipped files - the total download is 7MB.

After downloading extract each archive to a temporary directory on your hard disk, then run Setup

A later version of ControlDraw1 can also be downloaded, but you will need to have installed an earlier version before it can be used.

In order to run ControlDraw users have to obtain a Registration code from the author. Instructions will be given to you when you first run the program. Select Apply for Registration Code, and then Email your details (which will have been placed in the Windows Clipboard.) to ControlDraw and we will get back to you in a few days with the code you need to run the software. Note the Email address given in the software is superseded
