A tagname in the instances table that you can use to map standardised soft tags to the tagnames in other systems such as Instrument tags in In-house databases, Intools or such like.

You can set them using different rules for each class or define your own with Tagging Scripts and Custom Tagging

The External Tag can be used to import or compare data in the external system with the data in the Instances for an object by using the ControlDraw Import tool, this is available on request for Licensed users.
