A ControlDraw model is collection of diagrams with meaningful relationships between
the various objects on the diagrams.
To illustrate this, the diagram represents a model. Each symbol - or
object - on a diagram can link down to a 'child page' - the lines represent these
links. In effect a diagram is a collection of objects, each of which can be described
in further detail on child diagram.
Objects that appear frequently can all share the same description - by linking to the
same diagram. At the the lower levels in ControlDraw models this is applied to items such as Motors,
Valves and so on, and at higher levels it can extend to complete Units,
equipment modules, phases etc. This makes the diagrams in effect re-usable
objects
